I have a friend with a 97 Type R, Greddy turbo kit (intercooled). He recently had his car dyno'd on a chassis dyno, putting down 205 hp / 168 ft-lbs to the wheels at 7 psi. At 10 psi, he was only making 210 hp. Why does his car seem so underpowered next to my JRSC gsr? I know that the type R's are notorious for dumping fuel in the JRSC applications, but does it do the same for turbo apps?

That's average for the Kit on GSR's. I made 210hp @ 7 psi last week. The Greddy kit doesn't flow well at top end. Did your friend remove the restrictor plate? Did your friend tune some overlap out of the cams? Octane? AF ratio? This kit runs right on the edge of detonation (12.5). I would turn up the fuel pressure a bit with an adjustable FPR.
